Gold awards for Bannister Downs (9/09)
September 2009
Bannister Downs Dairy Company has enjoyed a very strong string of successes in the 2009 dairy awards season, culminating in a wonderful company stand at the 2009 Perth Royal Show.
In May 2009, Bannister Downs won 5 awards at the Dairy Industry of Australia national presentation event in Melbourne. Their Mango Smoothie was outstanding, winning the Givaudan Award for the Champion Flavoured Milk.
August saw Bannister Downs triumph at the WA Dairy Industry Awards with Gold awards and First Place for both the Cafe au Lait & Chocolatte, Gold Award for the Farm Fresh Milk and receiving the overall Champion Milk Product trophy for the delicious Chocolatte.
The Perth Royal Show results were announced in September and with 7 products entered into the competition, Bannister Downs was thrilled to have been awarded 7 medals (3 Gold and 4 Silvers) a very pleasing result for their dedicated team. Chocolatte once again received the Honour of Champion Flavoured Product.
The Bannister Downs Crew then gathered to produce a vibrant company stand, serving over 5000 of customers with fresh flavoured milks and strawberries and cream.
Sue Daubney, Managing Director, commented that 2009 has been a great year for Bannister Downs as we have been able to enjoy the benefits of strong foundations in our company focussed on quality and this shines through with both the feedback from our customer base, and the achievement at the high standard of state and national competition awards.
Bannister Downs Flavoured milks are all made from natural ingredients with no added flavours, colours or preservatives. They are also very low in fat (Mango Smoothie 99% fat free, and Chocolatte and Cafe au lait 98% fat free). They have a noticeably real flavour.
Bannister Downs products are available from most IGA stores, speciality supermarkets and more recently in some select Coles Supermarkets within WA.
